Kai Trump will have multiple high-profile backers as she starts her professional golf debut on Thursday.

The 18-year-old athlete, who is related to Donald Trump, received a sponsor's invitation to play at the Annika tournament in the Sunshine State.

The former president, a passionate golfer, possesses several golf courses and frequently competes against his granddaughter.

"He's quite skilled. I can't reveal details but we have tight competitions," she mentioned.

Kai explained that Trump, unable to come, counseled her: "Just don't get nervous."

"My grandpa basically suggested to compete and relax," she continued.

"To me, he's simply a regular grandfather. He won't be there for the tournament. He's busy with running the country, making him rather occupied."

As an amateur, Kai has played in a mere three competitions in 2024 and has position 461 in AJGA listings.

Yet she's able to get advice from golf legend, romantically involved with Vanessa.

"He is the top athlete globally," Kai expressed.

"Furthermore, he's a more impressive individual. He advised me to go out there, relax, following the flow."

Kai will face multiple top competitors in women's golf at the competition, including second-ranked the champion, England's Charley Hull, professional Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.

Tournament organizers mentioned that involving Kai helps introduce the sport to new audiences, specifically among the next generation.

The young star maintains a massive following and recently launched her own clothing and lifestyle label.

She begins at 5:30 PM GMT.
