The parent firm for British Airways, International Airlines Group, announced it had secured an deal involving SpaceX to provide internet services for over 500 jets within their airlines, which also include the Irish airline, Iberia, and the low-cost airline.

BA stated that the introduction of this service was part of a multi-billion pound “upgrade” plan that will deliver lag-free connectivity coverage for travelers from the gate to landing, including when they are flying across oceans and remote regions.

Basic connectivity service remains offered to BA flyers across the majority of their jets using their .air system.
Members of BA’s reward scheme may transmit texts and text-based messages during flights free of charge, while passengers who want to stream audio, films, and movies on the journey if not flying in business or first might pay between £4.99 and twenty-one pounds ninety-nine for one internet plan.
