First-choice Lineup

The goalkeeper Was rarely tested to perform in the first half until tested from an opponent's curling effort. One well-timed sliding challenge on Qazim Laci showed sharp game intelligence. 6/10

Jarrod Bowen Had the team's clearest opportunity before halftime, his strike well saved by the Albanian keeper. As Quansah holding position, it fell to him to stretch the play out wide yet his deliveries from wide areas varied in quality. Replaced with 15 to go. 6/10

Harry Kane The match-winner scoring 77th and 78th goals in an England shirt. His first a trademark close-range tap-in while the second an excellent headed goal after peeling away off his defender. Now 32, he continues to improve and the side stand a real opportunity next summer with him leading the line. 8

Eberechi Eze Struggled to make an impact out wide. Was presented with a good opening when set up from a teammate yet the keeper made the save. His replacement made much more of effect when substituted. Five
