Best-selling children's author and comedian David Walliams has been dropped by his longtime publishing house, the company has said.
An official for the publisher commented: "Upon deliberation, and with the guidance of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish future works by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the conclusion was taken subsequent to an inquiry regarding reports of conduct deemed unsuitable directed at women.
The firm did not confirm the reasons for its decision, adding: "It is not our policy to discuss private personnel issues."
A Highly Successful Writing Journey
Walliams stands as a most best-selling authors for kids, having sold over six tens of millions of copies globally in five dozen languages.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins in 2008.
Several of his books, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into small-screen adaptations.
His bibliography includes over four dozen titles in total, encompassing a Christmas book named *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins in October.
Television and Literature
His career breakthrough occurred on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE in 2017 for his services to charity and the arts.
This move occurs subsequent to the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO in October.
